This was a self initiated project for me to explore different design styles I felt influenced by at the time. The goal was to have control of the entire process, from conception, production, to art direction. I drew inspiration from neo-traditional tattoo illustrations to create a beachy collection of t-shirts and accessories. I chose a “boxy” fit t-shirt as the marquee item, with heavier cotton to give it a sturdy feel that could look as cool brand new as it would after a thousand washes. I worked with local embroiderers and screen printers in Brooklyn to do a small run shirts, hats and totes. Then collaborated with friend and photographer, Chris Klemens, to do a photoshoot at my home away from home, Rockaway beach.
